About Rancho Solano Preparatory
The Orme School is frequently voted one of the best 50 boarding schools in the US. Established in 1929, The Orme School is a unique, college-preparatory boarding school for grades 8 through 12, set on a 300-acre ranch in Arizona. The school’s mission is to develop character, academic growth and curiosity, and to enable students to succeed at the college of their choice. Challenging curriculum features a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on learning and both environmental awareness. Orme offers one of the top sustainability programs in the country. Thanks to a 1.5 million dollar grant from the Burpee Foundation, Orme has recently added a large garden, a 200 tree orchard, a table grape vineyard and composting operations. The school also offers an equestrian program with a state of the art equestrian facility, full rodeo arena and 40 horses.
