Our Tutors

All of our tutors are highly educated, often receiving the highest honors in their fields of study from top-ranked American universities and the Ivy League. Many have professional experience teaching in a classroom with a proven record of success. We carefully screen each tutor to ensure they teach lessons that offer a fun, engaging, and creative learning environment.

Tutors are available for lessons in person in the Greater Boston Area, or online via Skype.

 


Jon

Jon is a Babson University Professor. He has his own company that does TOEFL tutoring. Jon also works in our Summer Camp giving TOEFL preparation classes. Because he has a long experience teaching this subject, his classes are dynamic and well oriented, inspiring the students to learn and have fun at the same time.

Megha

She is an NIH Scholar pursuing a Master’s and MD/Ph.D. at Harvard Medical School and the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine. Among other activities, Megha has been a staff contributor, editor & podcast producer for an online journal at Columbia University NY. She has dedicated her academic and professional life to helping and healing.

Julia

Julia is a recent graduate from Harvard College where she studied English and French. She has over six years of tutoring experience at all age levels, ranging from second graders to peer college students. In recent years she has worked extensively with high school students on SATs, ACTs, and essay preparation.

Rebecca

Rebecca is currently a senior at Harvard University studying economics. She is originally from Mexico although has lived most of her life in Texas. Rebecca’s topics of interest include mathematics, education, and music. Rebecca also gives tutoring sessions in our Camps and her methodology helped students from all around the world.

Josh

 

Josh is a Ph.D. candidate in biological engineering and media arts and sciences at MIT. His research focuses on how to design and engineer the built environment to cure or prevent diseases using various forms of engineered living materials. He completed his Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan and an undergraduate at UC San Diego in Biology, Visual Arts, and Urban Planning. Josh has been tutoring for 8 years. His students have gotten into top schools including the University of Chicago, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Yale, Brown, and Stanford. As a tutor, Josh is patient, fun, and caring, and will sit with students until they fully understand the material.

Jane

Jane earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and Linguistics (magna cum laude) at Boston University, where she worked as a tutor for international and visually impaired students. After three years in academic publishing at The MIT Press, Jane completed her Master’s in English and returned to teaching. In 2010, she joined the English faculty at Phillips Exeter Academy‘s international summer program, where she teaches courses in essay writing, creative writing, grammar, and ESL. With over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring all ages, Jane is passionate about helping students discover joy and confidence as readers and writers.

Orianne

Currently completing her MBA at Harvard Business School, Orianne graduated with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) with a dual degree in Neurobiology (minor in Healthcare Management at the Wharton School) and Philosophy of Science (minor in Anthropology). She’s a citizen of Thailand and France, speaking English, French, and Thai fluently.

Kay

 

Kay is a current student at Harvard College. She grew up attending international schools in Asia and graduated from high school at Phillips Academy, Andover. She has always had interests in both the humanities and the sciences. In high school, she participated in varsity athletics, a foreign language magazine, and an art club. She worked as a peer tutor in math, sciences, foreign languages, and the writing center. She was awarded the Chemistry Prize at graduation. At Harvard, she declared field of study in English and Art, and she works as a research assistant in a chemistry lab.

Yuwen

 

Yuwen received her Ph.D. from Yale University and her Master’s in Applied Mathematics and Bachelor’s in Mathematics from National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan. She is currently teaching Math classes at Harvard University and has previous experience tutoring high school students. She draws from seven years of teaching and tutoring experience.

Archil

 

A graduate of Harvard University, Archil achieved the second-highest SAT exam score in the Republic of Georgia during the 2012 application year. At Harvard, Archil studied economics and was the president of three student organizations, including Harvard College Entrepreneurship Forum (one of the oldest and largest student clubs). Archil has 4 years of college admissions consulting and tutoring experience.

Lindsay

Lindsay holds a degree from Harvard University (Bachelor of Arts, History), and will complete her M.Ed in Curriculum Instruction and Educational Leadership this year. She attended University College London as an affiliate student in the History Department, The Julliard School’s pre-college division, and was the only student in the history of her high school to graduate in 3 years. Her interest and abilities as a leader and coach are also exemplified by her more than 7 years of Varsity Crew and Basketball experience. Additionally, Lindsay is a qualified College Admissions Consultant.
