Thanks for tuning in on Monday, when we reviewed our activities from the weekend and the administration of our SAT pre-test. This was followed by students getting introduced to their project partners across the Math, Music, Law, Photography, Entrepreneurship, Science, and Technology disciplines. We cannot wait to see what our groups create for their presentations at the end of camp. After project meetings and a quick rest, we headed to the America-Italian restaurant Bertucci’s for some pizza and pasta. A good nights sleep and classes were underway!

Our Summer blog continues with a recap of Days 4, with a direct look into what life’s like for one of our students. Raising your SAT scores by 200 points is a daunting task, so we’ve jumped right in and had our first Critical Reading and Math SAT classes. On Tuesday our incredible Math Instructor and Harvard Graduate Krystal Tung started her instruction with review of Algebra equations, principles, number properties, exponents and more! Check out her lesson in action below:

After class, students enjoyed lunch with the historic MIT Solar Electric Vehicle Team. This initiative has existed for over 30 years and their team is determined to build the most efficient car possible. Students spoke with engineers while chowing down!

After lunch, students watched Argentina keep their World Cup dreams alive with a 2-1 win over Nigeria. They played cards as well and did some team-building games together- you know, kids just HANGING around….

The night concluded with an beautiful Japanese spread of sushi from Yoki Restuarant in Medford served in the backyard behind our dorms.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather so far, and we’re hoping it continues! Keep up with our blog as we’ll be updating you on all events this summer. Lookout for our tour of Copenhagen Wheel and Dinner on the Waterfront in the coming days!
