Our annual SAT camp is around the corner!

We have 21 students coming to the US from numerous countries around the world. Such as Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, and Ecuador. They will be living at Lawrence Hall, a dorm-style building half a mile from Harvard square.

Besides having the luxury to be next to the most bubbling areas in Cambridge, our students will be participating in interactive learning experiences. They will work with companies like Microsoft and institutions like MIT.

We are pleased to announce a few workshops for their first week:

MIT Media Labs – Wearable Tech:

How many times have you grappled to find the right words to describe how you feel? Although we struggle, our brain never lies. This workshop will help the students explore the various wearables that track brain activity and provide feedback on how our brains are reacting to different situations. Moreover, we will also learn a few tricks to manage stress and anxiety and improve creativity and focus. These are essential for everyone, especially students.

Superpedestrian – Copenhagen Wheel:

Superpedestrian is a company that invented the Copenhagen wheel. Which was a rear bicycle wheel currently in development that has an in-built electric motor, battery, and an in-built computer. The wheel can record important statistics about the ride and can be controlled by a smartphone app. The workshop will help us get an insight into the ingenious mechanics behind the working of this wheel. And later, we will be able to test ride it ourselves!

Microsoft YouthSpark – Hour of Code:

This workshop hosted by a Microsoft YouthSpark grant recipient is dedicated expand participation in computer science by making it available to a wider audience. We will “learn how to code and fuel our passion to create amazing things like games, apps, and emoji”! It is the first step many youngsters take in the world of CS and a way to get inspired to pursue such fields.

Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research – A short course:

At the Koch Institute, student groups have the opportunity to visit cutting-edge labs and interact with young scientists. As well as, learn firsthand what it means to do cancer research in the 21st century. Researchers introduce students to the biomedical problems they try to solve, the tools they use, and the day-to-day life of a scientist.
