Meet our Summer SAT Program Critical Reading & Writing Instructor

With the Summer SAT Program approaching rapidly, we are excited to introduce our summer SAT Program critical reading & writing instructor.

Get to know Julia DeBenedictis

Julia is a recent graduate from Harvard College where she studied English and French. During her time as an undergraduate, she focused on creative writing, taking fiction workshops, and attending her house’s weekly creative writing club. Next fall, she will be starting a creative writing master’s program in London. She has over six years of tutoring experience at all age levels, ranging from second graders to peer college students. In recent years she has worked extensively with high school students on SATs, ACTs, and essay preparation. Other subjects she has tutored include English, French, and Italian.

Julia currently interns at the Harvard Review and works as a student adviser at The Office of International Education. She has spent summers Interning at Hunt and Gather, and Pen America in New York. As for extracurriculars, Julia is a news reporter at The Harvard Crimson and was a peer advising fellow at the advising programs office during her sophomore year, during which she mentored a group of 20 freshmen on everything from academics to social life. During her trip to China, she volunteered at the Dandelion School in Beijing. In her free time, she loves to read, run, and travel. In college, she spent a summer in Italy and a semester in Paris and went to China and Switzerland on school trips.
