SAT Prep Summer Camp: Packed with Activities
Published on Feb 20, 2019
We are only 4 months away from our 2019 SAT Prep Summer Camp! We’re excited to welcome our SAT students to New York and Boston. One of our main priorities is nationality mix, and so far we have students from over 15 different countries! We are very excited to receive students from across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Our program prioritizes preparing students for the SAT through fifteen weekly hours of instruction. However, we believe that those hours must be balanced with fun and educational events. As such, we have designed a schedule full of unique activities and faculty lectures!
Check out some of the activities!
Students will attend different lectures conducted by MIT professors. Professor Marco Asaf, for example, will talk about his research on removing traumatic memories from the brain. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with Marco and ask him questions about his experiences and findings.
Cogito students will also attend lectures at the New England aquarium. Andy Mann will discuss how to bring change and raise awareness for our most threatened marine ecosystems. Students will have the opportunity to listen to stories from his excursions in all seven continents, including recent diving expeditions to Antarctica, the Arctic, Cuba, Macaronesia, and other locales, shining light on our most precious and threatened ecosystems.
Our visit to the MIT Solar vehicle team is one of our favorites! Engineers from MIT will show our students how to design and build a vehicle. They will have an opportunity to see how MIT students put their engineering skills into practice!
